Brazilian actress Bruna Abdullah, who is the onscreen Mary of Grand Masti and was seen making a special appearance in Milap Zaveri's Mastizade this year, believes that if one has the skill and talent then age is no barrier. In a chat withJaideep Pandey the 29 year old agrees that males have an easier time in B-Town.

How have you grown as an actress?

After all the opportunities I had in the entertainment industry in India, today I am able to understand the language, emote and perform live on stage! It has been a very enriching experience and I am totally in love with what I do as it gives me such opportunity to grow as a person and a professional.

If not an actress, what would Bruna had been?

If not an actress, most probably a banker.

How do you stay motivated?

Being grateful for all that I have achieved keeps me grounded and motivated.  I believe that appreciating what you have and being thankful for it is very important.

Your most noteworthy performance till now?

Its “Yea Toh Two Much Ho Gayaa” which is about to release on September 2.  I will be seen playing Tina in the movie, directed by Anwer Khan.

Do you really think skin show for a film is really a big deal for an actress?

No, I don't think it’s a big deal if that is required for the role.

We saw you in quite a bold avtaar in Grand Masti. Are you open to such character in future?

Absolutely!

Any experience you can share that intersects with your acting career?

I was a theatre actor in Brazil before I started modelling and I learned a lot from there. Theatre brought out the expressive-creative side of me while modelling taught me to be cool under the glare of the camera.

What is the place that the song 'Subha Hone Na De' of Desi Boyz has in your career?

It got me recognition nationwide. It was such a great song, full of rhythm and verve, every body looked so good in it, may be that’s why it was such a hit.

What kind of a man would fascinate you?

I already have one!

Does being young in the industry give you more chances to play many roles of different kinds?

Not necessary. If you have the skill and talent then your age does not matter.

Any plans of making a comeback on small screens soon?

I would definitely not discard that idea! Television has such a wide outreach and is a major industry, I would love to be a part of it.

"Male actors have an easier time in Bollywood than Female actors". How far do you agree.

I would say to a certain extend that is true and I don't know why!

Who has influenced your acting the most?

My cousin Samira and my aunt Simone, they were both theatre actors. I started because of them! It's great to have some one close as an inspiration and guide.

If I ask you to describe Bruna, in short?

I am extremely simple, loyal, someone with principles.. grateful for life and for being here today.

Lastly, tell us about your upcoming projects.

"Yea Toh Two Much Ho Gayaa" which is releasing on September 2.
