Author interview: Author Subhashish Chakraborty talks about his new book
'The Stranger in my Eyes' is his dream come true about writing a psycho-thriller, a book that explores dark corners of the human mind, says Subhashish Chakraborty.
Congratulations on the release of 'The Stranger in my Eyes'. Is this your debut attempt?
No, this is my second novel.
What inspired you to pen down the tale?
I am a great fan of psycho-thrillers and had always dreamed of crafting a similar goose-bumping story myself, riveting my readers till the end which would welcome them with an unpredictable conclusion.
The plot does not look very conventional. What kind of work went into defining every aspect of the endeavor?
Being an avid reader myself, I always had sensed of setting a new trend for future writers to inspire them of a new genre. My genre is one of a kind which mixes love, twists, cries and hopes and dark corners of human mind. I tried every avenue to lure the audience to turn it into a much-loving bestseller.
What kind of books do you enjoy reading?
I love all kind of books -- specifically thrillers, history, philosophy and science.
How are you working on its promotion?
I have set up a YouTube channel, designed my blog, crafted a new Facebook page for my novel; my timeline nowadays is all glittering with the story-line and release manifesto. These apart, I have been telling my friends and colleagues about the book, asking them to inspire their next circle to read and promote.
