The book is a tribute to the legendary leaders and cultural icons who have made this world a better place to live in, says author Parthasarthy about his recently published book.

Congratulations on the release of ‘Legacy Of The Legends’. You are not a full-time writer. How and when do you manage time to write in between your regular career?

I pen down ideas, incidents as and when I come across them. I do have free time four months in a year when I am able to devote myself fully to writing.

What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors and poets?

There are many books that I read that gave some food for thought; there is one in particular written by Shivaji Sawant, 'Mrityunjay', which gave me inspiration to write. My other favourite writers are Deepak Chopra, Arundhati Roy, Munshi Premchand, Gulshan Nanda, Maithalisharan, Shivaji Sawant, Vinoba Bhave, and Rabindranath Tagore.

Why did you want to become a writer? Who inspired you to become a writer? What triggered you to come into writing?

I have been writing poems since I was 20 years old as a hobby; what inspired me to become a writer is the experience that I have had in my professional career and working and dealing with many people on a daily basis.

What are you doing to let readers know about your book?

I have been promoting my work among my friends and contacts as well seeking assistance on social media.

Tell us something about your book. Some highlights.

The book 'Legacy Of The Legends' is written to personally honor the effort and sacrifice of the legends and leaders who brought this day to humankind globally, the world is a better place today because of them.

Tell us something about yourself and your background.

I am an active seafarer; my background is Hospitality Business; I have travelled to many places and have seen cultural diversity; working with diverse nationality has helped me to understand culture more closely.

Do you plan to take it up as a full-time profession if the response is good?

Yes I do plan to take writing as a full time profession in the near future. The response from readers can be subjective as it reflects what they like. However, for me it is self-contentment for the work and idea I pen down, it is an appreciation without a price tag!
