4.1 earthquake hits Uttarakhand
Dehradun , May 6 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Rcihter Scale hit Uttarakhand on Thursday, officials said on Friday.
The earthquake, whose epicentre was located at 30.4 degrees North Latitude and 80.1 degrees East Longitude, hit the state at 23:30 hrs IST, the IMD website said.
As per the IMD website, the epicentre of the quake was located 15km below the earth at Pithoragarh.
No casualty has been reported so far.
The earthquake triggered panic as people rushed out of their houses.
