Afghanistan: Rocket hits Indian Embassy in Kabul, no casualty
Kabul, Jan 16 (IBNS): A rocket landed in the premises of Indian Embassy in Kabul on Monday evening, officials said.
However, no one was hurt in the incident.
Indian officials said the rocket caused minor damage to a structure at rear side of the Embassy compound.
MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted: "A rocket landed in the premises of our Embassy in Kabul a while ago causing minor damage to a structure at rear side of the Embassy compound. No fire or casualties. Our Charge d' Affaires informs that all Embassy employees are safe."
Meanwhile, a shopkeeper in the area, on the condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred after a rocket landed in the heavily fortified Wazir Akbar Khan area.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 8 pm.
