Army foils two infiltration bids along LoC Kashmir
New Delhi, Sep 21 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a top level security meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday regarding the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri, according to media reports.
In Uri, the Indian army-terrorist encounter continues with two infiltration bids along the Line of Control.
Media has reported gun battles in Lachipora in Uri. Combing operations still on, media reported.
However, the Indian army has been able to foil the infiltration bids, the media reported.
The Indian Army has not confirmed the number of terrorists killed during the infiltration encounter as some of the bodies have fallen into a ravine, reported NDTV.
It is expected that the army operations in Naugam, where one soldier died, will soon draw to a close, reported the media.
Despite the fight with terrorists and the overall tension in Jammu and Kashmir, the state police's recruitment bid on Wednesday got a good response from the local youth, according to media reports.
