Arvind Kejriwal leads AAP protest against AgustaWestland scam
New Delhi, May 7 (IBNS) Joining the political battle over AgustaWestland issue, Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday staged a rally demanding investigation and punishment of the culprits.
Reports said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is leading the protest at Jantar Mantar.
Kejriwal alleged that probe into the scam "has not moved an inch" under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
"Before 2014 elections, Modi ji had promised the people of this country that he will punish the corrupt. But it has been two years but nobody has been jailed...the probe has not moved an inch," he said.
Kejriwal also asked why Congress president Sonia Gandhi has not been interrogated in the scam yet. "Modi ji doesn't even dare to ask Sonia ji about this scam. We want to tell the PM that we made you our PM to punish the culprits not to protect them. We want ask why Sonia ji has not been quizzed or put behind the bars yet," he added.
