Bengaluru: Woman throws acid at ex-lover's face
Bengaluru, Jan 19 (IBNS): In a first for Bengaluru, a woman was arrested by the police for allegedly throwing acid at her ex-lover's face, reports said.
The tryst turned sour after the man, identified as Purushottam, decided to stop the four-year old relationship.
The acid burned his right ear, cheek and temple, though it did not affect his eyes.
Lydia Yeshpaul, the detained, works as a nurse.
She also attacked the victim with a scalpel, slashing his face before attacking him with a bottle of acid.
Following a court ruling, Lydia will spend a fortnight in judicial custody.
