Bus catches fire in Hyderabad, no casualty
Hyderabad, July 29 (IBNS): A speeding bus caught fire in the wee hours of Tuesday morning while on its way to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad, police said. No casualty has been reported so far.
The incident took place near the NG Ranga University in the city when the vehicle belonging to Pushpak-Airport liner bus services, operated by Road Transport Corporation (RTC), was carrying altogether four passengers besides the pilot.
According to fire officials, short-circuit may have caused the sudden fire in the bus.
Police said the bus was coming from Secunderabad when it caught fire. Flame soon engulfed the entire body with the pilot timely alerting passengers so that everyone could escape unhurt.
