Central forces deployed to clear blockades in Rajasthan's Dausa
Jaipur, May 28 (IBNS) After the Rajasthan High Court ordered the local administration to clear the road and rail blockades, Central forces are being deployed in Dausa to take charge of the law and order situation as talks are still going on to end the agitation of Gujjars for job reservation.
Reports said another round of talks between Rajasthan government officials and Gujjar leaders will resume in Jaipur.
After the talks failed on Wednesday evening, the Gujjar delegation agreed to hold another meeting.
"We were and are demanding quota within 50 percent. they made us wait for 4 days an then just told us that it will be a threat to social harmony. We are citizens of this country they cannot treat us like beggars. Will go back and discuss the issue with other leaders for further course of action," media reports quoted a Gujjar leader as saying.
Train services continue to be affected and around 30 trains have been cancelled and 11 diverted on Thursday.
The Rajasthan High Court has summoned the Rajasthan DGP and the Chief Secretary to appear before it to share what action has been taken to remove rail and road blockades.
