Congress slams BJP-led NDA government
New Delhi, Sept 2 (IBNS) As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA government completes 100 days in office, the Congress on Tuesday slammed the Centre over numerous issues and said its decision to dismantle the Planning Commission hit the base of the country's federal structure.
Sharma said the ruling BJP came to power by making 'lofty promises and selling unrealistic dreams'.
Addressing a press conference, Congress leader Anand Sharma said: "The arbitrarily decision of dismantling of the Planning Commission strikes at the base of our federal structure..The PM did not ask the states before taking the decision of dissolving the Commission."
"Have the sancitity of a cabinet form of a govt has been upheld or a silent shift is made to a prez form where one voice counts," the former Union Minister said.
Hitting out the government over the issue of black money, he said: "They promised to get Rs 85 lakh crore of black money .100 days over, not even Rs 85 has been brought so far."
He said the government is not showing any 'urgency' in appointing the Lokpal.
Sharma said educational institutions should be kept out of politics.
"Why is Education being Politicized? Institutions and Research & Science must remain out of politics," Sharma said.
