Demonetisation: About 50 families, 1 percent super rich benefitted, says Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi, Dec 28 (IBNS): Slamming the demonetisation move by the BJP government, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi said that only about a 50 families and one per cent of the super rich benefitted from it.
In a fresh salvo, the Gandhi scion equated the move with a large scale sacrifice and said that the poor, middle class and small businessmen of India were used as offerings.
He also said that Congress shares the same pain as other Indians and has a similar destiny.
"Congress shares the same pain as India and Indians. Ours is a common pain. Our dreams are common. We have a common destiny," Gandhi's tweet in Hindi read.
