Dont need the support of mafia: Modi
Hisar, Oct 6 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took a dig at ruling Congress by stating that his Government runs on the support of people and that he do not need the support of jailed leaders and mafias.
Addressing a huge gathering at Hisar in poll-bound Haryana, Modi urged people to oust the dynastic politics from the state.
He said that the leaders of Haryana worked for their own families only. Modi said, “Haryana saw good and bad days. Sadly, leaders of Haryana worked for their own families only.”
“Is this democracy for serving only 1 family? Don't you want to be free from this Parivaarshahi (dynastic rule),” he asked people.
Taking a dig at Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Modi said that so many instances of rapes happening in the state at a time when the party is being headed by a woman. “We need a Government where women are safe and treated with dignity.”
Modi continued with his attack towards Congress by saying “My Government runs on the support of the people of India. I don't need support from jails. I don't need support of mafia.”

Lambasting his rival’s demand for the amount of work done after he took over the Prime Ministership, Modi shot back at Congress by asking, “Did Congress ever give an answer for their work for 60 years? And then they ask us! At least talk about your sins for 60 years.”
“Corruption, land scams and loot. This is what has happened. Congress Party is misleading the farmers,” he said.
“I urge Cong to see rail budget. Who decided to give Hisar 2 railway lines? It was our government. Hisar will also get National Highway. What did Congress do about One Rank-One Pension for years? It is BJP that has begun work on this,” Modi added.
Urging people to vote for change, PM said, “Haryana needs a Government with full majority. BJP is fighting to give development to Haryana. We want to free Haryana from dynastic politics. We are fighting for good governance.”
Modi said, “Election is in the last leg. I am confident that Haryana will vote in large numbers and elect a BJP government with a full majority.”
He also congratulated the medal-winning athletes form Haryana.
He said, “I congratulate the youth of Haryana who made India proud in the Asian Games. They are the pride of India.”
