Double delight for Saina Nehwal as she signs a Rs 25 crore deal

New Delhi, Aug 21 (IBNS) Days after regaining the badminton World No 1 spot in the womens ranking, ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal signed a two year exclusive deal of Rs 25 crore with sports management group IOS Sports and Entertainment on Thursday.

Saina, who finished second best in the recently concluded Badminton World Championship in Jakarta behind Spaniard Carolina Marin, surged 2180 points ahead of her to finish with 82,792 points, claiming the numero uno position in the process.

Speaking on the newly forged partnership, Saina was quoted by the IOS Sports website as saying, “I have been performing well in the international circuit but at the same time I was looking for a sports management group that could manage my overall brand portfolio and logistics plus commercial activities in the best professional way. I am really convinced in the manner in which IOS has built MC Mary Kom a big brand in the industry and that was the major reason I decided to join hands with IOS.”

“I am confident that IOS, a company that is in the best possible position to help me achieve my business goals and maximize the value of my brand,” Saina added.
