EVM row: BJP slams AAP as sour losers
New Delhi, Apr 4 (IBNS): Taking a jibe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over its allegations in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering row, the BJP has termed the former as 'sour losers'.
Speaking to India Today, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra said, "A number of elections have been fought on these (the EVM's). You (AAP) have won the Delhi elections on the EVM itself, so today when you lose, to raise question on the EVM only shows that you are sour losers."
He also spoke on the credibility of the EVM and the Election commission, hailing both as impeccable.
"Remember, as far as the credibility of the Election Commission and the credibility of EVM in India is concerned, its is an impeccable one," Patra said.
The AAP had earlier accused the Election Commission of bias, favouring the saffron party.
It also raised questions on the credibility of the EVM's, as footage of the machines registering only votes in favour of BJP did the rounds.
Slamming the shared footage, Patra said that the entire video was not forwarded.
"Other channels have run the entire video where buttons have been pressed and the Congress symbol, the hand, has also come out," he said.
The BJP spokesperson further added that it was an isolated incident.
