Google features legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on its page on birthday
New Delhi, Oct 13 (IBNS) Google pays a tribute to legendary Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan by its customised doodle on his 67th birthday on Tuesday.
The doodle showcases a Qawwali in which Khan is portrayed singing.
A click on the doodle takes one to the search page where a number of pages are listed full of information on Khan.
Born in 1948, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan died very early at 48 on August 16, 1997. He is popularly known as "Shahenshah-e-Qawwali", meaning "The King of Kings of Qawwali".
He is also called as "Elvis" by western music icon Jeff Buckley.
Khan also went on to release movie scores and albums in Europe, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the US.
