Indrani Mukherjea admits to her role in Sheena murder
Mumbai, Sep 3 (IBNS) Ten days after her arrest, former media executive and TV tycoon Peter Mukherjea's wife Indrani on Thursday reportedly admitted to her role in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora.
Media reports said Indrani told the Mumbai police of the circumstances behind Sheena's murder.

Indrani has been accused of murdering Sheena along with her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyam Rai.

On Wednesday, former Star India CEO and Indrani's present  husband Peter Mukerjea was brought face to face with his wife  and the two other accused.

A police team also went to Peter's residence in Worli area even as a team in Kolkata is said to have seized Khanna's laptop that would help in the probe.

Indrani Mukerjea was arrested on August 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012.

Indrani used to present Sheena as her sister hiding their true relationship.

Peter Mukerjea  married  Indrani  in 2002 and set up a media company with her.

He had  first claimed that he was unaware that Sheena Bora was his wife's daughter. But later, he admitted that he was told the fact and it could be sometime in 2011.

He also claimed that the same thing was communicated to him by his son, Rahul Mukerjea, but he had not believed him as well.

Sheena  was having a relationship with  Rahul, Peter Mukerjea's son from a previous marriage.

She  was stated to have been  strangled in a car and then her body was burnt and dumped in the forests in Raigad, 84 km from Mumbai.

The remains were found a month later and buried by the local police, which treated the body as unclaimed.

For three years, Indrani Mukerjea told family and friends that Sheena had shifted to the US.

The lid over the murder blew off recently following an anonymous call that made police to crack on the case.

Sheena was Indrani's daughter from an earlier relationship. She also has a son, Mikhael.
