Kejriwal mocks BJP, condemns NIT lathicharge
New Delhi, Apr 6 (IBNS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday took a shot at the BJP-PDP alliance in Kashmir after reports of lathicharge at the NIT campus did the rounds.
Kejriwal said, "Lathi charge on students in srinagar is highly condemnable. BJP-PDP must stop this immediately."
The Delhi CM also mocked the BJP for their 'Bharat Mata' stance.
He said that the BJP is thrashing people in Kashmir for chanting the slogan, whereas in other parts of India they are doing so to people for refusing to chant the slogan.
Earlier it was reported that Jammu and Kashmir's NIT Srinagar campus witnessed unrest on Tuesday as police allegedly lathi-charged some students in the campus.
Several students have been reportedly injured.
Outstation students expressed sense of insecurity and tried to leave the campus on Tuesday, reports said.
Following a confrontation, police resorted to lathi-charge.
CRPF personnel have been deployed in the campus.
