Kiran Reddy opts out from election race, fields brother
Hyderabad, Apr 20 (IBNS): Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who had resigned from the Congress party over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, has opted out of the state elections on May 7, reports said.
Reddy, a four-time MLA, was expected to file his nomination papers from Pileru in Chittor district, on Saturday, which was the last date for filing nominations.
Reddy has instead fielded his brother Kishore Kumar Reddy as a Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) candidate.
After resigning from the Congress party, Reddy formed his new party JSP.
