Lalit Modi targets Varun Gandhi now, claims he offered to 'settle everything' with Sonia
New Delhi, July 1 (IBNS): Former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi has now targetted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi.
He has alleged that Varun Gandhi had gone to his house in London "a few years ago" and said he could settle things with his "aunt" (Congress president Sonia Gandhi).
"Please clarify @varungandhi80 did u or did u not come to my house in London. Whilst staying at the Ritz hotel in lon a few years ago -and said he can settle everything with his aunt. He wanted me to meet her sister from Italy. I heard him next I heard from our common friend who introduced us that," he tweeted.
"The auntie he refers to is #soniagandhi. The sister is #soniagandhi sister - just for clarity. Please mr @varungandhi80 - let the world know what you told about what auntie wants - witness is our good friend world renowned astrologer," he said.
The former IPL commissioner further alleged that Varun Gandhi had demanded "$60 million for the purpose."
Varun Gandhi has, however, denied any such meeting with Lalit Modi, said reports.
In a series of tweets, Lalit Modi also asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that why were other Governing Council members like Union Minister Arun Jaitley and Rajeev Shukla of Congress not charged.
"Notice #1 of 11 - On FEMA/ED don't single me out. Y are other GC members including Jaitley& @ShuklaRajiv not charged?," he asked.
"My query to the ED: DO you have the courage to call BJP's #ArunJaitley or #RajeevShukla from INC-Congress even today? ," Modi tweeted.
