Lawmakers rue absence of Sachin, Rekha in Parliament
New Delhi, Aug 8 (IBNS) Some lawmakers in Parliament are vocal about the absence of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and actress Rekha in Rajya Sabha, where they have been nominated as members by the previous UPA government.
CPI member P Rajeev said if they are absence for about 60 days their seats can be vacated for others.
Rajeev said while Sachin attended Parliament for just three days last year, Rekha was present only seven days.
Reports said several BJP members also protested earlier about their absence.
