Man returning from PoK arrested with family
Jammu, Mar 3 (IBNS) A man who returned from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) after 24 years was arrested along with his wife and four children by the police in the border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police officials told IBNS that the local man, identified himself as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Bashir Bhat of Sawjian Mandi, Poonch claimed he crossed over to PoK in 1991.
Though he claimed that he had returned home via Nepal, the officer said they are ascertaining the veracity of his claims.
Rafiq and his wife Nowsheen (27) and four children, all aged between 5-12 years were taken into custody after they were intercepted in Mandi town, the official said.
A case has been registered in this regard and an investigation has been started, police said.
