MCD byelection : AAP and Cong share honours
New Delhi, May 17 (IBNS) In a neck and neck fight in the by-election to 13 wards in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress have shared honours winning five wards each, reports said.
The BJP, that rules the three corporations, reduced to three seats.
Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken said the party has won in seats where it was considered to be traditionally weak.
The polls were necessitated as 13 wards fell vacant after the councillors got elected to the Delhi assembly in 2013 and 2015.
