Medical report of Indrani Mukerjea, lodged in Byculla Jail, confirms injures
Mumbai, Jun 9 (IBNS): The medical report of Indrani Mukerjea, former media entrepreneur, who has been lodged in Mumbai's Byculla Jail on charges of murdering her daughter, since 2015, has confirmed injuries on her hands and other body parts, according to media reports.
NDTV, which has access to the Mukerjea's medical reports said, "The report from a Mumbai hospital states that Ms Mukerjea shows the sort of injuries caused by a blunt instrument or force."
However, it has not been confirmed if she was injured during the prison rioting or assaulted separately.
Mukerjea is likely to lodge a formal police complaints soon, according to media reports.
The jail authorities have blamed Mukerjea for inciting the prison riot.
Mukerjea, on Wednesday, testified in court that she had seen the assault on prison inmate Manjula Shetye in the Superintendent's office through a hole in the door and later saw the body being dragged out, media reports said.
