Modi lays foundation stone for new expressway in Haryana
Sonepat, Nov 6 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones of of 3 highway projects in Sonepat, Haryana on Thursday in order to maintain smooth flow of traffic in Delhi and its eastern side, aiming at the reduction of air pollution in the National Capital.
Modi laid the foundation stone for the 135-km Kundli Gaziabad Palwal (KGP) expressway that bypasses east Delhi, covering parts of Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking at the gathering, the PM said that infrastructural growth also increases the standard of living and that it will improve the pace of Haryana's growth.
Addressing the gathering, the PM said that electricity and developed roads are pre-requisite for the growth of nation and once it is there development will happen.
Reiterating his vision Modi said that he plans to connect 18000 unconnected villages with power supply within 1000 days and ensured 24x7 power supply to all parts of India by 2022.
