Nitish Kumar to seek trust vote today
Patna, Mar 11 (IBNS): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be moving the confidence motion of his government in the state assembly on Wednesday.
JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar returned as the Chief Minister of the state on Feb 22.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Feb 20 stepped down ahead of a confidence vote in the state assembly that appeared necessary to prove his majority over the loyalists of Kumar, whose bid to come back as CM divided the ruling JD(U).
Kumar, who had earlier served as the CM of the state three times, will need to prove his majority in a floor test in the state Assembly.
Kumar has already submitted the list of 130 MLAs supporting his government to prove majority.
