
Nobel Prize recognition of Indian children's voice: Kailash Satyarthi
New Delhi, Oct 10 (IBNS) Indian child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi who won the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with Pakistan's Malala on Friday said it is a recognition of voice of Indian children.
"It is a good news for India. This is the reflection of the crores of Indian children," said Kailash Satyarthi who runs the Bachpan Bachao Andolan.

"I am happy and I thank everyone," he said.
The Nobel Peace Prize 2014 was awarded jointly to Kailash Satyarthi of India and Malala Yousafzay of Pakistan "for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education".
Showing great personal courage, Kailash Satyarthi, maintaining Gandhi’s tradition, has headed various forms of protests and demonstrations, all peaceful, focusing on the grave exploitation of children for financial gain. He has also contributed to the development of important international conventions on children’s rights.
Kailash Satyarthi (born 11 January 1954) has been active in the Indian movement against child labour since the 1990s. So far his organization, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, has freed over 80,000 children from various forms of servitude and helped in successful re-integration, rehabilitation and education.
