Pakistani president signs 21st amendment bill into law
Islamabad, Jan 7 (IBNS): Pakistan president Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday signed into law the 21st Constitutional Amendment, media reports said.
After his signing the law came to affect immediately.
"The 21st amendment to the Constitution would provide constitutional cover to trial of offences relating to terrorism by military courts," Geo News reported.
Pakistan's National Assembly on Tuesday approved the 21st Constitutional Amendment and Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill 2015.
The Bill was passed unopposed as 247 members voted in favour of it.
The Senate also approved it on the same day.
