PM Modi greets Sharad Pawar on his birthday
New Delhi, Dec 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted veteran lawmaker Sharad Pawar on his birthday.
Pawar is the President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
"Birthday wishes to Shri Sharad Pawar. May Almighty bless him with good health and a long life. @PawarSpeaks," the PM's tweet read.
Pawar had earlier served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and was the former Union Agriculture Minister and Defence Minister.
From 2005 to 2008 he presided over BCCI, the national cricket regulatory body in India.
A couple of years later, Pawar took over as the ICC President, the international cricket regulatory body.
