PM Modi prescribes three types of development in Assam rally
Guwahati, Mar 26 (IBNS) Starting his first of the five rallies in Assam on Saturday, PM Modi said that he has three agenda for the state.
Addressing a rally in Assam's Tinsukia district, PM Modi said, "I have 3 agenda for Assam - development, quick paced development & all-round development."
Modi also took on the Congress and said, "You gave Congress 60 years expecting good things. I ask nothing but 5 yrs from you."
He was unsparing of Assam CM Tarun Gogoi, criticizing him for his mismanagement of state wealth.
"We have allocated money to build houses for the poor but that is not being utilised. Money is lying idle in banks. Why?," he asked.
The BJP is fielding Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal as their Chief Ministerial candidate in Assam.
Speaking about him, Modi said that he will lose an important member of his cabinet as Sonowal will be busy governing Assam, predicting an outright win for his party.
Modi also said that his fight is not against Gogoi but poverty.
