Rajnath Singh launches three social security schemes in Lucknow
Lucknow, May 10 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday launched three social security schemes-Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana-in Lucknow.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said that these schemes were envisaged in the Union Budget 2015-16 and have taken concrete shape today.
He said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pathbreaking Jan Dhan Yojana has received tremendous success across the country and this scheme to provide banking facility to every household has been commended by the World Bank.
Singh said the people of the country need financial security and the Government is committed to ensuring this.
He said the Government will stand by the rural, poor and needy people and that these schemes are essential for providing economic security to the millions.
He said that the Government will soon roll out schemes on ensuring universal healthcare to all.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik presided over the function.
On the occasion, ten beneficiaries were felicitated. The three social schemes were launched in simultaneous functions at 115 venues across the country.
