Sanjay Dutt greeted by Bollywood fraternity as he walks free

Mumbai, Feb 25 (IBNS) Post his release from Pune's Yerwada Jail early in the morning on Thursday, actor Sanjay Dutt was greeted by his film fraternity as wishes for the actor poured in.

Sanjay was received by his wide Manyata and director friend Rajkumar Hirani. He is also suppose to visit the Siddhivinayaka Temple followed by his mother Nargis' grave.

Actress Juhi Chawla wrote on Twitter: "Welcome back Sanjay ..!! Very very happy for all the Dutt family ..!!! Wish Sanjay all Gods blessings .....!!"

Post his release, Sanjay told reporters, "There is no easy walk to freedom my friends."

Impressed with his comment, former top-cop Kiran Bedi said, "No easy road to freedom' says Sanjay Dutt on being released from Jail. Big message for those of who seem to be taking freedom for granted.."

Bedi also advised Dutt to use his time well. "Time Flies.Time Heals.Time is Supreme. Use it with utmost care. It's Universal. Same 24 hours for all and sundry. Wishing Sanjay Dutt well..," she said.

Fellow actor Rishi Kapoor posted a picture of himself and Sanjay Dutt and wrote on Twitter: "Welcome back to the grind! Make some memorable movies now!"

His business partner Raj Kundra wrote, "So happy my brother @duttsanjay is finally a free man!! Family time and time to catch up on lost time!! Renewed recharged and ready

Director Mahesh Bhatt said: "Lord, I'm one, Lord, I'm two, Lord, I'm three, Lord, I'm four, Lord I'm five hundred miles away from home (NAAM)."
 
Former Indian Woman Cricketer Anjum Chopra said, "Long awaited ! A Relief for his family and friends. #SanjayDutt walks free today.
 
Actress and singer Sophie Choudry wrote: "Such a big day today.. Finally he is a free man & is coming home!! Love u @duttsanjay."
 
Sanjay Dutt was found guilty in 2013 of acquiring illegal weapons from those involved in the 1993 attacks in Mumbai in which 257 people were killed.

He was sentenced to six years in jail in 2007; he served 18 months but then was out on bail, fighting the conviction until a court in March 2013 ordered him back to jail in Pune.
