Suresh Prabhu presents Railway Budget in Parliament
New Delhi, Feb 25 (IBNS): Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday presented the 2016 Railway Budget in Parliament saying it reflectis the aspirations of the people.
He began reading out the budget in which the revenue target is put at Rs 184, 820 crore.
The capital outlay is at 1.21 lakh crore.
Prabhu arrived in Parliament with the budget with his junior minister and posed for mediapersons with the suitcases with the budget papers.
Amid speculations if the fares would be hiked, Junior Rail Minister Manoj Sinha earlier said: "This is the budget to transform the Indian Railways. You have to wait for some time."
