Chennai, Feb 18 (IBNS) : The Tamil Nadu Assembly was adjourned for the second time on Saturday disrupting the Trust vote as violence and lawlessness continued with a heckled Speaker being escorted out of the House, reports said.

Unruly Opposition members, who had been demanding secret ballot, which  Speaker P Dhanapal  rejected.

The MLAs  continued the rampage, breaking chairs and tables and yanking the Speaker's microphone even after the House reconvened at 1 pm.

The Speaker, who had ordered eviction of the DMK MLAs for the trouble and destruction they indulged in creating a bedlam, failed to get it executed.

The situation went to such a pass that police had to move in.

The dissenting MLAs also surrounded the Speaker and heckled him for not allowing secret voting in the trust vote.

One of the MLAs even sat on the Speaker's chair. The trust vote was halted amid the chaos and the House adjourned till 3 pm.

Chief Minister  Palaniswamy, who seeks the Trust vote for his newly installed Government, needs to prove that at least 117 legislators in the 234-member state Assembly back him.

He has the support of 122, excluding the Speaker, after another AIADMK legislator withdrew his support to Palaniswamy.

The result of the voting will be decided on head count of 230 members present.

Media reports said if six lawmakers choose to cross vote, Palaiswamy would lose.
