TDP MLA Revanth Reddy gets bail in Cash-for-Vote case

Hyderabad, June 30 (IBNS) Telugu Desam Party MLA Revanth Reddy, who is an accused in the 'Cash for Vote' case, has been granted bail by the High Court with some restrictions,reports said.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau had arrested the TDP  deputy leader in Telangana assembly on May 31 while he was handing over a bribe of Rs.50 lakh to nominated legislator Elvis Stephenson in a bid to bribe him to vote in favour of the Telugue Desam-Bharaitya Janata Party candidate in Telengana Legislative Council elections. .

 
Police had laid a trap on a prior complaint by Stephenson and also arrested Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha who had allegedly taken part in the deal they wanted to make. 
 
While the Telengana's ruling party alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu gave approval for the graft move, a war of words broke  out between the two neighbouring states as Naidu alleged  that his phone was tapped.

A  total of 87 cases were registered by AP Police against Telangana CM and others.

However, Telangana government and ACB denied that the phones of Naidu and others were tapped.
