Three militants killed as army foils infiltration bid in Kashmir
Srinagar, June 1 (IBNS) Three militants were shot dead as the Army frustrated an infiltration bid near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tangdhar sector of Kashmir early on Monday.
"The infiltration bid was foiled in the wee hours today as a group of heavily armed terrorists were crossing the LoC," reports quaoted an army official as saying.
The official said while three militants had been killed operation was still in progress.
The bodies of the militants have been recovered along with three weapons.
This is the second infiltration bid by militants in the Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district within a week.
