Festival feasts at Pour House and Cafe 4/1
It is festive time and feasting time! For Bengalis Durga Puja is the time to splurge on maach, mishti and more! Be it everyones favourite egg or chicken rolls, phuchka, alookabli, alur chop, kabiraji cutlet or the Mughlai parota Bengalis love for food finds expression through feasting at roadside stalls, cafs and restaurants.
Starting from F&B outlets at starred hotels to standalone restaurants, most of them organise festive treats to woo the food-loving customers. The innovative Puja spreads are truly inviting calling all to sample the fares on offer.
Two such eateries where one can sit back, laze and sample a delectable Puja spread are Pour House and Café 4/1.
Pour House is a Lounge and Bar at Meghatherm Tower, Block- GP near RDB Cinemas in Sector- V, Salt Lake. The Festive Buffet (lunch only) will be available between October 16 and 18 from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at Rs 579/- all inclusive.
Pour House is spread across 10,000 sqft with a private area close to 1000 sqft and a gigantic open terrace area where outdoor seating facilities are available. Private dining area is also available. They do not have live music performances but they do have a DJ playing the music.
The buffet on offer has a wide assortment — for starters they have, in the vegetarian selection Dal BaraVeg Grill Pizza,Crispy Chilly Baby Aloo and Tandoori Babri Aloo .While the non-veg selection includes Chicken Supreme, Chichen Popcorn, Chicken Lollipop, Chilli Fish, Panco Fish Finger and Afghani Murgh
The main course also has a wide variety on offer such as Noodles,Veg Manchurian,Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Veg Biryani, Kochi Pathar Jhol, Chicken Kasa and Fish Kasundi.
Assorted Indian breads are there too naan, tandoori roti and laccha paratha. And then come the desserts.
At Café 4/1 on Camac Street, it is time for Mexican Food Festival. On offer during lunchtime (12pm to 4pm) and dinner ( 7.30pm to 12 am) the festival will be on till October 24 at Rs 800 plus taxes per person.
Treat your taste buds to a variety of dishes that includes lip-smacking starters like Empanadas, Taco, Tortilla Soup Platter, Avocado Cold Soup while the must try dishes in the main course would be Chimichanga Burrito Rolls, Mole Poblano and lastly the desserts where one can pick Sopaipilla Mexicana and Paletas among other dishes.
