AAP to file police complaint, Arun Jaitley defmation suit as war over DDCA scam heightens
New Delhi, Dec 21 (IBNS) Taking its war against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to a new height Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to lodge a police complaint in connection with alleged corruption in the DDCA, media reports said.
Jaitley headed the DDCA or Delhi and District Cricket Association for 13 years till 2013.
AAP is likely to file a First Information Report alleging forgery, corruption and loot of public money.
Jaitley, who has rubbished the allegation is also likely to sue for defamation Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, AAP's Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpayee.
Kejriwal and his party have alleged financial irregularities in DDCA during Jaitley's tenure alleging that the CBI raid on Kejriwal's top officer last week was aimed at recovering the DDCA files.
AAP has demanded that Jaitley must resign or be removed for a fair investigation.
At a press conference on Sunday, BJP lawmaker and former cricketer Kirti Azad said that contracts were given to fake companies, crores were paid to them in cash and accounts were fudged.
The DDCA has admitted that there were irregularities, but has absolved Mr Jaitley of any involvement.
The Delhi government has ordered an inquiry headed by former Solicitor General of India Gopal Subramaniam.
