AgustaWestland scam : Former IAF chief SP Tyagi gets bail
New Delhi, De 26 (IBNS) : Former Indian Air Force chief S P Tyagi was granted bail on Monday in the AgustaWestland case, reports said.
Tyagi was arrested by the CBI along with his cousin Sanjeev Tyagi and Delhi-based lawyer Gautam Khaitan.
The Patiala House Court, where his bail petition was heard, imposed several conditions for Tyagi's release, saying that he cannot leave the country without its permission.
The court has set a bail bond of Rs 2 lakh. It also directed Tyagi to avoid getting in touch with witnesses related to the case.
The CBI had arrested Tyagi for allegedly receiving kickbacks from middlemen for granting undue favours.
The CBI alleged that middlemen hired by helicopter manufacturer AgustaWestland routed money to the former air chief through his cousins.
