Alleged ISIS attacker kills police personnel in Paris neighbourhood
Paris, Jun 14 (IBNS): A French police Commander and his wife were stabbed to death on Monday night allegedly by a person claiming allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS), which prompted President Franois Hollande to convene crisis talks, media reported.
The Euro 2016 football tournament is currently going on in France.
The police commander was stabbed in front of his house in a neighbourhood located north-west of Paris, according to media reports.
The attacker then entered the house and held hostage the commander’s partner and the couple’s three-year-old son.
The police personnel who rushed to the spot and began negotiations with the attacker alleged that the man claimed to be a member of ISIS, media reported.

The police stormed the house when the assailant was killed. They found the woman dead and rescued the baby.
The assailant has been identified as Larossi Abballa, 25, who had been sentenced to three years in prison, six months suspended, in 2013 for 'criminal association in view to preparing terrorist attacks', according to the media
The French media has identified the police officer who died as Jean-Baptiste Salvaing, 42.
The police commander was in plain clothes when he was attacked, His partner worked for the local police administration.
