Amit Shah to hold meeting over seat-sharing for Maharashtra polls
Mumbai, Sep 17 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah is scheduled to hold a meeting with the partys core committee members in Mumbai on Wednesday evening, reports said.
Shah will discuss the issue of seat-sharing with its long-time ally Shiv Sena in the forthcoming Maharashtra polls next month.
The meeting will take place especially after the BJP received an electoral setback in states like in Uttar Pradesh, and losses in Rajasthan and Gujarat in the recently-concluded by-elections.
Shiv Sena leaders already advised the BJP to draw lessons from its poor performance in by-elections.
“BJP leaders need to have their feet planted firmly on the ground. It's still not too late…If BJP leaders in Maharashtra are still banking on the Modi wave, I wish them luck,” said Shiv Sena leader Ramdas Kadam.
