At least 24 killed in Kabul explosion
Kabul, Apr 19 (IBNS) At least 24 people were reported killed in a suicide bombing in the vicinity of the US embassy in Kabul on Tuesday, reports said.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani said, "A number of people killed and wounded in the blast."
Khamma Press quoted a police official as saying that the explosion was triggered by Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED).
The official also said that the target of the explosion was an unit of Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) in Pul-e-Mahmood Khan area.
