At least one dies as chopper crashes in Badrinath
Chamoli, Jun 10 (IBNS); At least one person died after a chopper carrying pilgrims from Badrinath to Haridwar crashed on Saturday morning, reports said.
The incident took place at around 7:45 am, a Times of India report read.
The daily quoted a police official as saying that the aircraft developed a technical slag due to insufficient air pressure and crashed.
The helicopter, an Augusta 119 chopper, belonged to Krestal Aviation. and was carrying eight people, including five passengers, an engineer and two pilots.
The deceased has been identified as the engineer.
The others however are reportedly safe.
