Australian Open: Sania Mirza to face Leander Paes in Q/Fs
Melbourne, Jan 27 (IBNS): It will be a clash between two Indians as Sania Mirza and Leander Paes will face each other in the Australian Open mixed-doubles quater finals here.
In the Round 2 clash, Sania and her mixed doubles partner Ivan Dodig defeated Kazakh-Pakistan duo of Yaroslava Shvedova and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi 7-5, 6-2 to reach the quarter- finals.
Leander and his Swiss partner Martina Hingis cruised to the quater-finals of the tournament by beating American-Dutch pair of Sloane Stephens and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-1, 6-2.
Martina Hingis, who is all set to face Sania in the mixed doubles quater-finals, is the Indian woman tennis star's doubles partner.
Sania and Martina have already reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
