Bangalore school child rape: CM snaps back at reporters
Bangalore, July 22 (IBNS) Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah on Tuesday snapped back at journalists on the question of rape of a child inside an international school saying if it "is the only news we have" here.
He said all action is being taken and slammed the opposition BJP for trying to reap political mileage from the incident.

Meanwhile  new Bangalore Police Commissioner MN Reddi on Tuesday met the parents and management of the upscale Vibgyor High School on July 2in the city where a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two staff members on July 2.

The new police chief said he also inspected the scene of the crime in the school which is now shut down after angry protests by the parents on July 17 when the school authorities tried to shrug off its responsibility. A skating instructor has been arrested already.

"I visited the scene of crime, went around the school. I was guided by my team on the circumstances of the incident," said Reddi. He said he spoke to the management and representatives of teachers and parents.

He said he had a detailed talk with the parents and heard their concerns and those would be addressed. He said the parents want the school to reopen.

He said the management would be advised on the security and other measures.

"The investigation is going on," he said.

Previous police commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar was on Mondaytransferred over the incident, two weeks after the six-year-old girl was allegedly raped inside the school premise.

Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah cleared the transfer orders of Auradkar in the wake of the deteriorating state of law and order in the city.

Auradkar has been transferred to Karnataka State Reserve Police as an Additional Director General of Police.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Kamal Pant has also been transferred to Human Rights.

MN Reddi has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police.

Child pornography videos, especially on school children rape, was found in the laptop and mobile of the skating instructor of the Bangalore school who was arrested in the case.

Skating instructor Mustafa, also known as Munna, was working with the school since 2011. He was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping the six-year-old girl.

According to media reports, Mustafa is married and has a small daughter.

Police said the videos unveil his state of mind.

Reports said in 2011 he was fired by another school for touching girls inappropriately though the same was not reported to police by the school.

Angry parents had also stormed the school when the management refused to take responsibility of the incident though it happened during school hours. Later the school chairman came out and assured his cooperation.
