Bihar lawmaker's son, accused of road rage killing, arrested
Gaya, May(IBNS) Rocky Yadav, the son of a ruling JD-U leader in Bihar, was arrested on Monday night, two days after he allegedly shot dead a teenager for overtaking his vehicle in Gaya, reports said.
Rocky is the son of Manorama Devi, a legislative council member of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United.
"Rocky has confessed to the crime. He was arrested with his weapon. His SUV has also been seized," media reports on Tuesday quoted police officer Garima Mallick as saying.
Rocky, 30, was reported to have traced down on the basis of the interrogation of his mother, Manorama Devi, the JDU lawmaker.
On Saturday night, 19-year-old Aditya Sachdeva, the son of a businessman, was driving home with friends in his Maruti Swift when he overtook Rocky's Range Rover. Rocky was travelling from Bodh Gaya to Gaya along with his friends.
According to the complaints lodged with police, Rocky first intercepted Aditya's vehicle, beat him up and then shot him on the head.
Rocky's father Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav has already been arrested.
