By-poll results: BJP likely to win in Delhi, Congress in Karnataka
New Delhi, Apr 13 (IBNS): While the counting of votes in the recent by-polls in 11 assembly constituencies across eight states began on Thursday morning, the BJP has taken a healthy lead in Delhi's Rajouri Garden constituency, reports said.
The saffron party is trailed by Congress and Arvind Kejriwal led AAP.
In Karnataka, the Congress is expected to win, while the BJP is looking for an encore in Assam.
In a historic win for the saffron party, the BJP last year captured Assam trouncing its arch rival Congress, marking their first ever victory in the seven sisters.
With a base in Assam, the Narendra Modi led party further established its foothold in the north east with a win in the recently concluded elections in Manipur
By-polls result for certain constituencies in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand will also be out by this afternoon.
