By-poll results: BJP wins Assam, Delhi
New Delhi, Apr 13 (IBNS): The BJP recorded a victory in Delhi's Rajouri Garden constituency by a huge margin, as the Assembly by-poll results were declared on Thursday afternoon, reports said.
BJP candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa won by at least 14,000 votes, while AAP finished a dismal third.
The blow to AAP comes a week before the crucial Delhi civic polls.
Meanwhile, the BJP also registered a win in Assam's Dhemaji, where saffron candidate Ranoj Pegu won by 9253 votes.
In West Bengal by-polls, the ruling TMC party is leading, followed by the BJP.
The Narendra Modi led party is expected to win polls in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, while arch-rival Congress will likely win the by-polls in Karnataka.
