CBI searches former Haryana CM's residence over corruption charges
Rohtak, Sep 3 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Saturday, searched the former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's residence in Rohtak over an alleged corruption case, according to media reports.
The raid was in connection with a 2015 case registered by CBI regarding the release of nearly 400 acres of land acquired by the previous Congress government at throwaway prices from villagers in Gurgaon and allegedly sold off to private builders, reported The Indian Express.
The CBI also searched the residences and offices of two former IAS officers and one serving IAS officer in Delhi and Haryana's Gurgaon, Rohtak, Chandigarh and Panchkula areas in relation to the land allotment case, the media reported.
