Church vandalized in south Delhi
New Delhi, Feb 2 (IBNS) Unknown miscreants vandalized a church in south Delhi in the wee hours of Monday, with media reports putting it as the fifth such attack since December in the region.
Members of the St Alphonsa's Church said the miscreants jumped the wall and broke opened the main gate and ransacked the belongings of the church between 1 am and 3 am.
While police is investigating the matter, the church officials said they are clueless what led to the attack and who were behind it.
Details are awaited.
Delhi's Archbishop Anil JT Couto was quoted in media saying that the attacks are clearly in an orchestrated manner.
Police had earlier arrested three people in connection with a similar vandalisation of a church in west Delhi's Vikaspuri last month, claiming that they "don't have any connection" with any political party or fringe groups.
